4th of July weekend

We went to my All-School Reunion over the 4th of July weekend this year. It was a lot of fun to see people from my high school and get a chance to catch up in person, rather than on Facebook! I was the only person representing the class of '94! We had social time in Webb, then a program and dinner in Spencer afterwards. Sunday, we went to the parade and celebration in Storm Lake for the 4th of July. It was a lot of fun too. The day was nice and fairly cool, compared to the weather we had been having. Isabelle enjoyed watching the parade with her cousins and playing afterwards at their house. The day was kind of rough on her though, she took a swing to the forehead and burned her finger on a sparkler...poor girl! Still had fun, she's a trouper!

Pushing coolers at the Harvest Moon Friday night for steak night.
Playing under the watertower in Webb at the reunion.

Getting ready for the parade with Mommy!

Isabelle and cousin Avery with Grandma at the parade.

Watching the parade with Daddy.

All decked out in her 4th of July gear.

Got hit with a swing right in the forehead - big goose egg and a bruise. Ouch!

Watching firworks at the lake. We had greaat seats! The neighbors on each side of us had their own big displays - it was awesome! Isabelle loved them too, she cheered and ooh'ed and aah'ed over them just like the rest of us!

She wasn't sure what to think of the sparklers. She liked them and wanted to touch them, then once she did finally touch one (accidently after it had gone out) and got burned by it, she didn't like them anymore. Should've listened to Grandma...'sparklers are dangerous!'
