Christmas baking....yum. Isabelle helped me make some treats this year. We also decorated a gingerbread house for the first time this year. That was a fun family project. A bit more difficult than what I thought it was going to be but it was still fun. The finished product was interesting...
Ethan woke up to a new car ramp. You can't really tell from the picture but he was excited to have some 'big boy' toys in the house.
Aftr opening gifts at our house, we headed over to another of Daniel's sister's houses. Uncle Corey read Ethan a book and rocked him to sleep. Probably a book on history or something boring. Haha.

Durbin grandkids ready for their 1st ever Christmas gift exchange. All 11 of them. It was fun, I think they all enjoyed it!
Isabelle looks ready for a nap in her new jammies from Granny and her new Pinkalicious doll from cousin Rio.
I had to go back to work Christmas night since it was a Sunday but after a few hours of sleep the next morning, we headed north to celebrate with the Smith side. We did our Christmas on Tuesday evening. Its hard to work around all the health care workers schedules...so Tuesday worked out the best.
We had our Christmas gathering Tuesday night with all my brothers and their families...it was so much fun! Its always fun when all the kids get together. We had a second get together Thursday night to see my aunt and uncle from CA and CO.
We drove back Friday morning, took the kids to 'school' and Daniel and I slept all day! We both needed to recover after late nights and early mornings at my parents'. Ethan didn't sleep well there at all, it was rough. We needed those naps!
My little helper.
One side for Ethan. That's supposed to be a holly leaf.
You can see Isabelle's side. Check out that awesome frosting job....
I had Christmas Eve off this year so we were able to celebrate with Daniel's family both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas morning with the kids here at our house was priceless....so much fun! My cousin Kyle was making his way to our grandma's house and needed a place to stay Christmas Eve so he crashed on our couch. He even saw Santa!!
Santa went over board this year. Really over board. We had a talk with him though. He said that since we don't ever buy anything for our kids during the year, except for birthdays and things they need like clothing, that he thought they needed a lot of new toys and stuff. Ok, Santa....if you say so. But 2012 will be different. One side for Ethan. That's supposed to be a holly leaf.

Isabelle found a new dollhouse that she had been asking for. She was so happy! Then she turned around and saw Kyle on the couch and it scared the living daylights out of her!
