Isabelle had her 2 month check up at the Dr today. She weighed 11lbs 12.5oz and was 22inches long. (Last time we went, they measured her at 22 3/4 inches....hmmmm, pretty sure she is not shrinking.) She is in the 50th percentile for height & 75th for weight. Everything went well; she is right on track for everything! The nurse practitioner said her eyes will be green and they are changing already! She's a little overachiever! We had noticed that they were beginning to turn lighter in the center, by the pupil. She also got her 1st round of immunizations....boo. See before & after pics (with bandaids). Two injections in the left leg, one in the right, and an oral suspension for the rotavirus. She did pretty well, cried for less than a minute afterwards. Thats when Mom started crying! I was busy making sure the nurses did it right (my distraction technique) so it didn't effect me until I could pick her up to comfort her! All was well until around 5pm when she started crying and being fussy. Maybe her little legs are sore? She's been sleeping off and on but doesn't want to be put down so I am typing this with one hand....taking forever!
My good friend Carrie was in town from Seattle. She met little Isabelle today!! We went to Gray's Lake for a walk, like old times when she lived in DSM. Wish we could have had more time with her but it was great to see her & catch up!
