Trying to get her to pose. She was ready to go home by this time!Isabelle went to a Halloween party at the Y tonight. She fell asleep on the way there so we had to wake her up....might not have been a great idea. She was pretty clingy but managed to play a few games with minimal tears. I had to carry her a lot - which was great fun. She wasn't going to let her dad; definitely perferring mom over dad these days. It always makes Daniel feel bad - he's thinking other people are thinking he's a jerk for not carrying the kiddo when his wife is so pregnant! But you gotta do what you gotta do to keep her happy, I guess. After we played games, we got a cup of treats and even got to chose a pumpkin to take home.
Later that week, we went to Night Eyes at the zoo with some girls from work. It was a good time and it was fun to see all the kids dressed up in their costumes. It didn't take Isabelle long to figure out how it worked....people have a bucket of candy in front of her, she reaches in, takes one, says 'thank you' and puts it in her bucket. Done. Didn't say Trick or Treat but at least she said Thank You! They had a big play area with bouncy houses and a big inflatable slide. She got her head into 2 bouncy houses, then chickened out. Got half way in, decided she didn't like it. We were in line for the slide but I knew she wouldn't go on it, it was pretty high up. She would have had to climb it all by herself, then go down the slide. Maybe next year.
