4 months old

" A big shout out to all my peeps!" 4 months old Ethan is growing up so fast! 4 months old already! Since this post is actually being typed on April 15th (I'm big into chronological order and accurate dates...but not so big in actually writing my posts on the day I date and title them) and I don't have his baby book close by to write about all the fun stuff he was doing almost an entire month ago...I will just leave all that for his 5 month post - and I promise to write and post it on that same day! I will just give a short recap of his 4 month check up. I took both kids for check ups on 3/28. Ethan is continuing to reach his developmental milestones and is right on track for his age. However, the doctor's office scale showed that he was not on track for his weight. At 2 months, he weighed 12lbs 7oz. At the 4 month check up, he weighed 12lbs 12oz. Hmmm, on my scale at home, he weighes 15lbs. I think their scale needs to be recaliburated or something. Maybe its for real but I doubt it. He had been sick and maybe not eating as well as he had in the past but I seriously doubt he only gained 5oz in 2 months. So the Dr wants me to bring him back in a month for a weight check. And make sure I feed him every 3 hrs (already doing), producing enough milk (aka lay off the dieting for a bit), pump after every feeding (are you kidding, who has time for that?) or offer him a bottle more often when I think I am low on supply (tried it and sometimes he just doesn't want to eat.) Whatever. I made the appt for 4/26 and we'll see what the scale says. He was 25inches long...catching up to big sis. Isabelle weighed 25lbs and 33inches tall. She's doing great for her age too. We talked a little about potty training....yikes. Sounds fun. Not really.
