Watching the balloons with Daddy

Last night we went to Indianola to the National Balloon Festival. We hadn't been to it before so didn't know what to expect. Isabelle seemed to like the balloons but she liked all the little kiddie bounce houses and rides better! Of course, there were all sorts of little things for the kiddos to enjoy - and for parents to spend money on! When she wasn't distracted by all the kiddie attractions, she really did think the balloons were cool. As they flew overhead, she kept pointing up at them, saying "Up high!" and "Oooh!" It was kind of hard to keep her entertained without having to run after her. I was already hot enough just sitting outside! There was a little girl sitting behind us in her own little princess lawn chair....Isabelle wanted to sit in it so bad! She kept running back there, trying to climb up in one of them...the little girl was freaking out even though she wasn't sitting in it...I don't think the parents minded but I felt bad, like we were intruding and causing trouble. It was almost bedtime so we left before the balloons were fired up at dark, which I guess is pretty neat. Oh well, maybe next year.
